HELLO

We started Rebecca Yates Designs because we believe your stationery should feel as personal as the story you're living. Every collection we create is made to celebrate you - your seasons, your style, your creativity.

We're Rebecca and Lynn - a mother-daughter duo, and two self-confessed stationery obsessives. Since 2019, we've been building this brand together from our UK studio, pouring care and attention into every foiled sticker, journal kit and washi tape we make. Rebecca is in charge of the design and Lynn keeps things running beautifully behind the scenes, and together we're proud to have built something that has found its way into the hands of thousands of stationery lovers around the world. (We now have over 1,300 five star reviews too!)

Where we can, we make and source everything here in the UK - and because we love this planet as much as we love stationery, we plant a tree with every order with our partner Ecologi.

Thank you for being here. We're so glad you found us.

Rebecca's Story

Rebecca Yates is a self-taught artist, designer and the founder of Rebecca Yates Designs, a UK independent stationery brand helping people reconnect with their creativity, one beautifully designed page at a time.

Rebecca has always seen the world a little differently - quite literally. Born with a rare eye condition, she underwent a number of operations as a baby, and thanks to the surgeons and nurses at Great Ormond Street Hospital, her sight was restored. She still manages the condition today, and carries a small, visible reminder of that journey: one grey eye, one blue. She's come to see it as its own kind of gift. Different isn't a flaw, it's the whole point.

Growing up in Yorkshire, Rebecca was always making things. Long before she had a brand or a studio, she was designing and selling handmade cards - first at the local beautician's salon, then at car boot sales. That instinct to create, and to share what she made, never really left her.

She always had a desire to help people and make a positive difference, and her curiosity led her into politics, studying at the University of Hull where she graduated with a First, before moving to London in 2011. Firstly working for an MP in Parliament, then spending six years in smart technology and energy policy. But the pull to create never left.

In 2016, Rebecca began painting as a hobby - not to be good at art, but to give it a go and find a creative outlet. She held her first art exhibition the following year, and in the process of experimenting with style and colour, she began designing stationery something she had always loved. What started as curiosity became a calling. By 2019, Rebecca Yates Designs had quietly taken shape, evolving organically alongside her career, growing collection by collection. She still works part time alongside the business, but the direction of travel is clear.

At the heart of everything Rebecca creates is a belief she arrived at through her own journey: that it is far too easy to spend our days absorbed in work and comparison, slowly losing touch with who we actually are. Creative journalling - the act of getting off your phone, out of your head, and onto the page - is one of the most powerful ways to come home to yourself. Whether you're ranting, dreaming, planning or simply decorating a spread you'll never show anyone, you're honouring your story. And that matters.

Rebecca's vision for the brand is expansive - bigger, bolder collections spanning new stationery categories, made with the finest makers in the UK and around the world. Physical spaces where people can come together, discover a love of stationery, and learn new creative skills. And as an artist, a constant, restless push to grow - to create designs that connect more deeply, products that are more interesting, more beautiful.

More than anything, Rebecca wants to show people what is possible. No matter where you come from, no matter what limitations life has handed you, you are not defined by them. The only limits are the ones you place on yourself. So let's break them, and shine together.
