HERE TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS IN STYLE.

Hello,
I’m Rebecca,

Red lipstick obsessive, coffee addict and designer.

Welcome to my universe. A place where no dream is too ambitious, no goal too big, no vision too outrageous.

Everything you see here has been designed by me. I want to bring together beautiful design, positive messages and also offer you something a little different.
It's my mission to help you achieve your dreams and smash every goal in style.

We all have dreams and aspirations, things we want to achieve and mountains to climb. Some days we just need to keep all those plates spinning and sometimes we need a reminder of how great we are.

(And sometimes we just need to find a great birthday present for our best friend. Because they are so amazing and deserve something really amazing too.)

And that’s what all my designs are all about. Bringing together the sometimes unusual with the practical. Handpainted designs turned into prints and stationery with a little digital magic!
We proudly make everything in Britain - to the best quality. And personalise your items by hand in the studio. You always get something special from us, something unique and something made with care.

I hope you enjoy taking a look around… and give me a follow on Insta to keep up with my latest adventures and see more behind the scenes snaps.

Rebecca Yates, artist

This is me, painting - how all my designs start life. Yes on the floor of my living room usually as well.

The story (so far)

The adventure began when my two best friends bought me a small set of watercolour paints and some pretty papers for my birthday in 2016. They had been surprised when I revealed that I used to be ‘quite crafty’ and almost went to art school rather than to study politics. (Bit different, I know)

And i will be forever grateful for this gift, as it was just the nudge i needed to get creative again.

The moment I picked up a paintbrush again after years of neglecting that part of me I was once again hooked. Like a long line of dominoes, one idea led to the next. And before I knew it, I had opened an Etsy shop and signed up to do a local art exhibition.

Now this is not one of those stories of instant, overnight success – it has taken me a long time and a lot of failures to even get to this point. But I don’t think I would change any of it.

I began with selling original artworks – which was great but I soon got other ideas. How about turning my art into everyday items like cards and stationery? And, because I love a quote – why not add those in too.

After lots of trials, plenty of errors and just enough successes to stop me from throwing in the towel, this is where we are.

And in January 2020, after over 3 years of running things on the side to my 9to5 I took the big, hairy, scarey decision to go all in on the business. During this time I learned so much about productivity, motivation, goals and how not to go completely mad in the pursuit of your dreams.... all of which I share and put back into making great products to inspire you.

Our next big leap forward came in Summer 2020 - when during a global pandemic my incredible Mum Lynn decided it was time to leave the safety of the 9to5 to join me. Safe to say we know what it is to take leaps into the unknown and take scary leaps of faith.

Lynn is a Leo - super organised, logical and a master at keeping things running smoothly. And always coming up with ideas! A great compliment to me, as a Gemini - adaptable, creative but sometimes a little scatty!

Sustainability

Sustainable design is also a big part of my business.

I have no desire to create something which is harmful to the planet.

You’ll see that there is information on sustainability on each product in the descriptions, but just so you know…

  • my notebooks and cards are made from recycled paper or FSC certified paper and are printed with eco-friendly inks.
  • you won’t find any plastic packaging. I use a biodegradable cellophane sleeves to protect things like the cards. All other packaging (boxes/envelopes) can be recycled.
  • my home studio is supplied by 100% renewable energy.
  • I also work with production partners who share these values and who also have good environmental policies in place.
  • everything is also proudly made in Britain – so it doesn’t have too far to travel.

There is more to be done I’m sure – there always is. But it’s not a bad start.
